The Sumerians and Babylonians didn't figure out much at all. the Sumerian Leadership, who were not human, gave the Sumerians ALL the extensive knowledge of civilization that they had. The Sumerian Leaders also founded the Babylonian, Egyptian, South Asian, China, and a number of other civs. The first ruler of Babylon, was the son of the original Sumerian Leadership.
